Dr. Roshmi Goswami
Roshmi Goswami is a founder member of North East Network. She was Program Officer with the Ford Foundation in New Delhi for several years, programming on women’s rights, before moving on to work with UN Women in New York. She is well known for her pioneering work with the women in conflict affected regions of India, including documenting and analyzing the impact of war and conflict on the lives of women. She is currently serving as the chairperson at Foundation for Social Transformation: enabling north east india (FST).
Studied finance and management, Enakshi had worked with CAPART for few years. She worked with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) , Guwahati Regional Office for many years and currently, freelancing to support NGOs.
She is the current Vice Chairperson at Foundation for Social Transformation: enabling north east india (FST).
Ketaki Bardalai is a reknowned social activist contributing to social change programs. She served as a volunteer at INJAZ Qatar.
She was also formerly associated with a number of organisations such as Outreach Division as an adviser, Jagruti – Legislation and Advocacy Unit as a coordinator to name a few. She is currently serving the position of treasurer at Foundation for Social Transformation: enabling north east india (FST).
Ritupon Gogoi is a social development worker with expertise on result based management, youth development, gender and human rights. He worked in Indo-Global Social Service Society, an Indian donor agency, for 12 years. He joined FST as an Executive Director on August 2016. He is well acquainted with the development discourse in India.
Arman Ali is the current Executive Director at Shishu Sarothi, Guwahati. His brief but eventful stint in corporate world as Equal Opportunity Officer at Infosys was a feather in his cap, as he opened the doors for a large number of persons with disabilities into the IT sector. He won the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment National Award for Best Self Employed Person in 1998. Arman later came to work in the Disability Law Unit (DLU) that we started at Shishu Sarothi. He is a board member at Foundation for Social Transformation: enabling north east india (FST).
Sunita Bhuyan a well-known violinist of the Hindustani style is the recipient of the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini award for Music. She is currently a Wellness Consultant for Syntel Incorporated. Some of the institutions/forums that have used her interventions are Marcus Evans, Indian Merchants Chambers, Gartner Leadership Forum NY, Royal Group of Institutions, Indian Institute of Technology, HR college of Arts and Commerce, American School of Mumbai, TED Conferences. THiNK Conference, South Asian Women’s Fund etc. Some of the corporate that she has worked for are RBS, AMEX, L &T, State Street bank, FEDEX, ESSAR etc. Sunita is the brand ambassador of South Asian women’s Fund and the icon for the Election Comission, India. She is a board member at Foundation for Social Transformation: enabling north east india (FST).
Banamallika Choudhary is a feminist, women’s rights activist, social entrepreneur and mother from the North-East based in Guwahati at the moment. She is a partner at Back Benchers Cafe and NEthing – Everything North East. She previously worked with a number of voluntary organisations such as Action Aid, Asia Pacific forum on Women Law and Development, Sangama to name a few. She is currently a board member at Foundation for Social Transformation: enabling north east india (FST).
LH Thangi Mannen
L.H. Thangi Mannen served as a former Nominee Director of Nagaland Pulp & Paper Company Ltd. She is currently serving as the Commissioner & Secretary, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry at Nagaland. She is associated with Foundation for Social Transformation: enabling north east india (FST) as a board member.
