
Our Executive Director is a social development professional with more than 23 years of experience in rural and urban contexts. He leads and guides his team to achieve the vision of Foundation for Social Transformation.An alumnus of Tezpur University, Ritupon Gogoi has hands-on experience in programme management, fundraising, social justice, and rights. Earlier he was the Head of the Urban Poverty Unit of the Indo-Global Social Service Society.

Program Lead
Our Program Lead is a development professional with rich hands-on experience of more than nine years in the sector. She is the person behind our successful programs in various areas of the region. Since her association with us, she has been working towards ensuring efficiency of her Program Team in the organisation. An alumnus of Bosco Institute, Jorhat, Langhu Hringjangam brings in a good exposure in the areas of capacity building, program designing and team management.

Finance & Operations Lead
Our Finance & Operations Lead is the go-to person for Human Resource, Finance and the overalladministration of the organisation. An alumnus of St Mary’s Convent, Gauhati Commerce College and the Indian Institute of Centre &Trade (IICT), Lucknow, Smriti Rekha Dashas more than eighteen years of work experience in the corporate and development sectors.

An alumnus of Gauhati Commerce College, our Accountant is the key person for the financial records of the organisation. Bibhash Deka has been managing our accounts section since 2016. He also assists in the administration of the organisation. He has earlier worked at a chartered accountant firm and was partly associated with a travel firm as an accountant. He has an experience of more than nine years in accounts management.

With a background in Mass Communication, our Communication & Documentation Associate has work experience in print as well as online media. She began her career with print media and later switched to the online platform. An alumnus of St. Anthony’s College, Shillong and the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Anumita Das has a knack for writing, photography and communication. She is the key person for communication as well as documentation of the various projects of our organisation.

Our Development Associate is a passionate social worker with expertise in Gender and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. An alumnus of Handique College and Gauhati University, she develops plans and ensures program deliverables. She has a keen interest in reading, travelling and experiencing new cultures.

Hailing from Naharlagun in Arunachal Pradesh, our Project Associateis currently leading our Project Ankuran – Young Girls Access to Education in Barpeta, Assam. She is an alumnus of Rajiv Gandhi Central University and has been working in the development sector since 2019. Her profile includes working as a development professional in the livelihood sector, promoting Self Help Groups and facilitating various on-farm activities with women farmers.

Priyanka Dasis engaged as Field Coordinator in Barpeta, Assam. She has experienceof working at the grassroots level, which is an advantage in understanding the concerns of the community.An alumnus ofGauhati University, Priyanka has earlier worked as a Gandhi Fellow with the Piramal Foundation, wherein she worked closely with the District Transformation Program of NITI Ayog to strengthen the education systemat the grassroots.

Our Junior Associate Tanisha Dutta supports and manages all program activities in the field. With the intent to start her career in the development sector, she began exploring this sector during her internship with us. An alumnus of the National Education Foundation (NEF), Guwahati, Tanisha is enthusiastic about learning, acquiring experience and advancing in this profession.

Our Program Support, Renu Pathak has been associated with us since our inception.She is known for her multitasking abilities and assists all the departments. She loves to cook, travel and explore new places. Music is something that Renu loves too.

Our Community Mobiliser, Anowara Begum has been associated with us since the past three years. Social work is her driving force. Along with diligently working with the community under our project Awahan – Collectivising the voices of unorganised workers from Assam, she is passionate about acting and dancing.

Our Community Mobiliser, Hamida Parbin’s interest lies in contributing towards development of women. She has worked with Muslim Women Forum and a women’s collective, Amrapari. She is currently engaged with our project Ankuran – Young Girls Access to Educationin Barpeta, Assam. Her focus is to strengthen girl leaders and girls’ collectives and bring in the positive changes in the field of education for girls in four villages in Barpeta.

Our Community Mobiliser, Husniwara Hassan is engaged with our project Ankuran – Young Girls Access to Education in Barpeta, Assam. She is keen on empowering the girls she works with and is facilitating the process of reducing social barriers in the community by identifying and building girl leaders. A graduate from Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia, Barpeta, Husniwara aspires to become a social worker with her focus on women’s development.

Aysha Siddika aspires to become a social worker. She is currently working with four villages under Project Ankuran – Young Girls Access to Educationand her vision is to reduce the existing barriers against girls’ access to education. She began her career as a Research Assistant at Parag Kumar Das Char and Library Research Centreon Majidbhita, a char or riverine island. She has a Master’s Degree in Social Works.
