Executive Director
Ritupon Gogoi

Our Executive Director is a social development professional with more than 23 years of experience in rural and urban contexts. He leads and guides his team to achieve the vision of Foundation for Social Transformation.An alumnus of Tezpur University, Ritupon Gogoi has hands-on experience in programme management, fundraising, social justice, and rights. Earlier he was the Head of the Urban Poverty Unit of the Indo-Global Social Service Society. 

Finance & Operations Lead
Smriti Rekha Das

Our Finance & Operations Lead is the go-to person for Human Resource, Finance and the overall administration of the organisation. An alumnus of St Mary’s Convent, Gauhati Commerce College and the Indian Institute of Centre &Trade (IICT), Lucknow, Smriti Rekha Das has more than eighteen years of work experience in the corporate and development sectors.

Program Lead
Mrigakshi Chakravarty

Our Program Lead is a development professional with a handful experience of more than 5 years in the sector. She is an alumnus of the Department of Social Work, Tezpur University. She is responsible for the smooth implementation of various projects in different areas of the region. She holds rich experience in community development, livelihood promotion, working with community institutions, human resource management, and working with children. Her core expertise includes capacity building, module development, planning, implementation, analyzing, and project management. She has a profound interest in traveling, meeting new people, listening to music, and watching movies.

Accountant
Bibhash Deka

An alumnus of Gauhati Commerce College, our Accountant is the key person for the financial records of the organisation. Bibhash Deka has been managing our accounts section since 2016. He also assists in the administration of the organisation. He has earlier worked at a chartered accountant firm and was partly associated with a travel firm as an accountant. He has an experience of more than nine years in accounts management.

Development Associate
Henashree Kataki

Our Development Associate is a passionate social worker with expertise in Gender and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. An alumnus of Handique College and Gauhati University, she develops plans and ensures program deliverables. She has a keen interest in reading, travelling and experiencing new cultures.

Project Associate
Yapi Kop

Hailing from Naharlagun in Arunachal Pradesh, our Project Associateis currently leading our Project Ankuran – Young Girls Access to Education in Barpeta, Assam. She is an alumnus of Rajiv Gandhi Central University and has been working in the development sector since 2019. Her profile includes working as a development professional in the livelihood sector, promoting Self Help Groups and facilitating various on-farm activities with women farmers.

Field Coordinator
Priyanka Das

Priyanka Das is engaged as Field Coordinator in Barpeta, Assam. She has experience of working at the grassroots level, which is an advantage in understanding the concerns of the community. An alumnus of Gauhati University, Priyanka has earlier worked as a Gandhi Fellow with the Piramal Foundation, wherein she worked closely with the District Transformation Program of NITI Ayog to strengthen the education system at the grassroots.

Junior Associate
Anowara Begum

Anowara Begum has been associated with us since the past three years. She started working with us as a Community Mobilizer. Social work is her driving force. Along with diligently working with the community under our project Awahan – Collectivising the voices of unorganised workers from Assam, she is passionate about acting and dancing.

Renu Pathak

Our Program Support, Renu Pathak has been associated with us since our inception.She is known for her multitasking abilities and assists all the departments. She loves to cook, travel and explore new places. Music is something that Renu loves too.

Community Mobiliser
Hameda Parbin

Our Community Mobiliser, Hamida Parbin’s interest lies in contributing towards development of women. She has worked with Muslim Women Forum and a women’s collective, Amrapari. She is currently engaged with our project Ankuran – Young Girls Access to Educationin Barpeta, Assam. Her focus is to strengthen girl leaders and girls’ collectives and bring in the positive changes in the field of education for girls in four villages in Barpeta.

Husniwara Hassan

Our Community Mobiliser, Husniwara Hassan is engaged with our project Ankuran – Young Girls Access to Education in Barpeta, Assam. She is keen on empowering the girls she works with and is facilitating the process of reducing social barriers in the community by identifying and building girl leaders. A graduate from Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia, Barpeta, Husniwara aspires to become a social worker with her focus on women’s development.

Lapdianghun Khongjirem

Lapdianghun hails from the small village of Wakhen in Meghalaya. She studied GNM nursing and worked as a staff for one year. Passionate about her village’s natural beauty and its appeal to tourists, she is committed to promoting sustainable tourism that not only generates employment but at the same protects the environment.

Lamphrang Diengdoh

Lamphrang Diengdoh hails from the remote village of Nongtraw in the East Khasi Hills. He completed his Class X at St. John Bosco Boys’ Higher Secondary School and Class XII (Arts) at Sohra Government College. Since 2008, he has been actively involved with NGOs, focusing on social work, RTI applications, and capacity building. He has contributed significantly to KSO, Cherrapunjee, and NESFAS, and currently plays a key role in the Footprint Project in three villages of Meghalaya. He enjoys football, traveling, and listening to music.

Emdorlang Khonglam

Emdorlang Khonglam hails from Nongblai village in the East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya. With a strong academic background in science from Sankardev College, Shillong, Emdorlang brings a unique perspective to our organization. He has gained valuable experience working as a sales executive at Banalari World Car in Shillong for two years (2016-2017), where he developed essential skills in communication and customer relations. Outside of his professional pursuits, Emdorlang is passionate about football and enjoys fishing, which reflects his love for teamwork and the outdoors.

Jyoti Roy

Our communication and Documentation associate is a former student of Tezpur University, department of mass communication and Journalism. She oversees our communication tasks and maintains the organization’s online and offline presence. With a strong interest in the communication field, she also finds comfort on artistic endeavors.

Devlina Chakravorty, our dedicated Junior Associate and integral member of Project Niroopan, is an alumna of Tezpur University with a master’s degree in social work. Her unwavering commitment to fostering positive change, coupled with a passion for social work, brings enthusiasm and a fresh perspective to our team.

Juria Khatun

Our community mobiliser Juria Khatun is from Kalgachia, Barpeta, engaged in our project Ankuran which focuses on young girls education. She is pursuing BA from Chakla CK College. Earlier she volunteered for Goonj in a survey. With a strong interest in social work she also enjoys music and dance.

Pallabi Rajkhowa

Our MEAL Associate is a dedicated development practitioner holding a Master of Social Work from Kaziranga University. With five years of experience in the development sector, she plays a pivotal role in our organization. She is responsible for designing and developing tools for data collection and analysis to ensure the effectiveness of projects. Pallabi possesses expertise in proposal-making, budgeting, CSR, relationship management, monitoring and evaluation, and program management. She is committed to utilizing her skills to foster positive change and facilitate holistic community development.
